OUDTSHOORN NEWS - The strong winds last night, Wednesday 27 August, caused flare-ups at the landfill site.
The fire reignited sporadically during the night and this morning.
A contractor of the Oudtshoorn Municipality has been rehabilitating the area. By 08:41, the flames had been extinguished.
Rehabilitation of the affected is continuing.
