Dit is waarom Lee-Ann van Sitter en Elmarie Leach-Swiegers, van Oudtshoorn Volunteers for Animals, hul lewe daaraan wy om die "weggooi katte" van Oudtshoorn te red en vir hulle die beste huise moontlik te kry. Dié twee vrouens is reeds bekende gesigte in Oudtshoorn en word geken aan hul liefde vir katte.
