LITTLE BRAK NEWS - Mossel Bay composer and singer, Petronel Baard, will be performing in Little Brak this weekend.
She says: "My first local show for 2025 is this Saturday, 1 February."
The show is called Saxy Sounds.
Petronel and her longtime friend, saxophonist Boesman Keyser, will be performing. He features on two of her albums and they have toured together over the years. Boesman hails from Heidelberg in the Western Cape.
This will be the first of several sunset soirées in 2025 at Salty River Beerhouse in Little Brak. Petronel's concerts there have proved popular.
The repertoire will include "Sailing", "Can't help falling in love", "Mannetjies Roux", all beautiful music that Petronel and Boesman have recorded together, interwoven with their special anecdotes, with the peaceful Little Brak River in the background.
Tickets cost only R80 each. Enjoy pizzas and craft gin while you listen. The concert starts at 18:00.
Bookings must be done via Chris (082 713 5082).
