RYGBY NEWS - Cell C Sharks coach Robert du Preez has reshuffled his back row to accommodate Springbok Jean-Luc du Preez in his starting team for Friday’s Vodacom Super Rugby tour match against the Rebels in Melbourne.
Beast Mtawarira is back in the front row after being a late withdrawal last week so the Sharks have effectively been fortified by the return of two Bok forwards for the match against Australia’s hitherto best performing team. Du Preez did play off the bench against the Brumbies in Canberra but this will be his first start since being injured on the Bok tour of Europe last November.
There has been one selection forced by injury, with the influential inside centre Andre Esterhuizen sitting out this game because of an ankle sprain. However, coach Du Preez is confident that Marius Louw will do a capable job as his replacement.
