Theo van Aswegen (Outeniqua Bowling Club) was elected vice-president with Jan Stadler (Central Karoo Sub-District), Susanna van Niekerk (Hartenbos Bowling Club) and Pierre Stander (Outeniqua Bowling Club) as the new committee members.
Other members on the committee are Christine Lombaard (Secretary - George BC), Koos Louw (treasurer/ competition secretary - Outeniqua BC) and Billy Radloff (George BC), the players representative.
Certificates of achievement were handed to members of clubs in various categories such as administrator of the year (Paula Dhanani), coach of the year (Susanna van Niekerk), best green keeper (Vlam Basson), development officer of the year (Daphne Faber and Hilton Prins), media officer of the year (Les Johnston) and technical official of the year (Andre Bezuidenhout).
The Club of the Year Trophy was handed to Jenny Sinclair, president of the George Bowling Club.
Bowls SA vice-president, Kallie Haupt, also addressed the meeting and expressed his satisfaction with the interest shown by potential bowlers after the participation of the SA team at the Common Wealth Games in Glascow where they secured gold medals.
