In the ladies section Rina Theron (skip), Minette Robertson and Willa Eybers from Vista had a rampant day.
They first beat Elma Davis and her team from George BC in the semi-finals and then clinched the title from Wendy Ballentine of Leisure Isle in the final with a 18-15 win.
Billy Radloff (skip), Japie Combrink and Marius Delport (George BC) had to wait until the last end to win their semi-final 19-17 in the men's section against Rob Cameron from Outeniqua BC. They also had to overcome a huge comeback from the Knysna team of Kobus Rousseau to win the game and title by 19-18 in the final.
On Saturday and Sunday, 4 and 5 October, the Eden Masters Tournament will be hosted at the George Bowling Club.
The best bowlers in the district will be present and everybody is welcome to watch good bowling as from 9 am everyday.
