Not even the dreary weather could keep the over 60's down with Knysna and Sedgefield teams who emerged the title holders.
The ladies section trophy went to the team from Sedgefield Bowling Club consisting of Mimie Oosthuizen (skip), Crystal Barlow, Rosalie Joubert and Wendy Mack. They took the honours by beating Wendy Murray's team from George Bowling Club in the final by 19 ends to 15.
In the men's section Ted Coetzee (skip), Johan de Bruyn, Roger Williams and John Marr (Leisure Isle BC) had to fight until the last end to win their game by 21-19 against Aubrey Christie from Oudtshoorn BC.
On Saturday and Sunday 8 and 9 November the Eden Bowls Loerie Men, ladies and u.25 teams will play against Boland in Robertson. This tournament enables up and coming bowlers to participate at a higher level.
