South African netball has a bright future with an abundance of talent, according to national captain Maryka Holtzhausen.
The skipper joined Proteas teammates Erin Burger, Phumza Maweni and Lenise Potgieter in mentoring young players at an Under-21 training camp in Pretoria this week.
“It was a great initiative. They trained for up to three hours in the mornings and then had match play in the afternoons or evenings so they could be monitored on court,” said Holtzhausen, who attended the first two days of the camp.
“It was really successful and we’ve got some great young talent coming through.”
