SPORTS NEWS - Although rain and wet outfields prevented the completion of the majority of matches in the SWD Schools league during the past weekend, the Bridgton Regional Performance Centre (RPC) recorded a brilliant 151 runs victory against Outeniqua High in the u. 19 Super League.
Bridgton RPC, thanks to a century by Keenan Arries (123*) and half-century by Thurston Murphy (60), posted 253/4 against Outeniqua.
Thanks to a brilliant bowling display by Murphy (4/24 in 6.1 overs) and Zeano Lewis (4/27 in 6 overs), Outeniqua was dismissed for 102.
The other u.19 Super League fixture between the defending champions, Oakdale, and Langenhoven Gymnasium at Riversdale was abandoned due to a wet outfield.
