OUDTSHOORN NEWS - The second anniversary of the Ostrich Crawl MTB and Trail Run Challenge will take place on Saturday 31 March in Oudtshoorn, during the KKNK.
Corné Botha, the owner of Jakhals Events Management, says, "Although the event is once again part of the Klein Karoo Ervarings during the Klein Karoo National Arts Festival, there will be some changes to this year’s edition.
"Firstly there will be a 10 km trail run added which will make sure that all the mommy’s and wives that would normally have to wait for the cyclists are catered for.
"Secondly the event will start at the Rivierbuurt where all the shows and craft market stands of the KKNK will be situated.
"Thirdly there will be three brand new MTB routes, namely a 15km, 33km and 55km, and most of this route will only be open during the event."
Botha explained that on the 55km route riders will be taken through the privately owned nature reserve of the De Zeekoei Lodge. "The route will consist of some single and jeep track as well as open gravel roads.
Waiting for the 2017 Ostrich Crawl to start.
"The event promises to be a family-friendly event with easy but scenic routes."
Race finishers will receive medals and at the prize giving lots of lucky draws, special prices from the KKNK will be handed out.
