Orlando Pirates will come back home with only the silver medals after they lost the second leg of the Caf Confederations Cup final 1-0 to Etoile due Sahel in Tunisia on Sunday afternoon.
The game ended 2-1 on aggregate to Etoile.
Pirates went into the game at the Stade Olympique de Sousse on a back foot having drawn the first leg 1-1 at home.
Things got off to a rough start for the Buccaneers when Etoile opened the scoring 23 minutes into the game when a Happy Jele miscue somehow ended up in the back of his own net.
Although Pirates tried all they could to find an equaliser in the second half, all their efforts came to naught.
