This is after Khune, together with midfielder Mandla Masango, met with Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung on Friday at the club’s Naturena Village training ground in an attempt to reach a deal that would see the club retain the two players.
Khune, Masango and defender Tefu Mashamaite’s contract renewal negotiations with the club collapsed just before the end of last season, due to their alleged steep financial demands and all three are without contracts with the new season set to get underway.
