FOOTBALL NEWS - The Indwe Secondary School girls' soccer team represented the Western Cape in the national U15 Pan African Tournament in Johannesburg from 11 to 17 July.
This local team made Mossel Bay proud after finishing second overall in the age group.

The team competed in Cape Town from 4 to 5 June in the provincial tournament and succeeded in becoming the Western Cape champion. It then represented the Western Cape against other provinces.
In the finals it was a team from KwaZulu-Natal, which beat our local team with 7-2.
In the other matches the team made us proud by winning 2-0 against Free State, 4-0 against Mpumalanga and 4-1 against Gauteng. It lost 3-1 to KwaZulu-Natal. In the semi-finals it beat Eastern Cape 3-0.
Although only in the U15 age group, Emihle Welman was selected as the goalkeeper for the U17 Banyana Banyana South African team.
