The match, in the CSA U/19 Three Day Competition, was played at the Recreation Ground in Oudtshoorn and was finished by lunch on the second day.
SWD, who won the toss and elected to bat were dismissed for a modest 84 after being 36/9 but a 10th wicket partnership between Josh Peters (27*) and Dillon Moos (32) gave some respectability to the SWD total. Western Province replied with 303/6 declared thanks to a well-played innings by Zubayi Hamza (97). The SWD batsmen again failed in their second innings and were dismissed for 110, with only Ruan Stander (39) and Chris Marrow (39) adding valuable contributions with the bat.
