Union Stars retained women’s title

OUDTSHOORN NEWS - Union Stars retained the SWD Women’s league title on Saturday 3 March, after they comprehensively beat Mossel Bay by five wickets in the final.

Mossel Bay was dismissed for a modest total of 50 with Haroline Rhodes (6/17) the main destroyer. 

Union Stars only needed 13 overs to reach the winning target (56/5).

The summarised scorecard is:

Union Stars vs Mossel Bay

Mossel Bay 55/10 (20): Caroline Taylor 15, Haroline Rhodes 6/17, Miceala Andrews 2/12, Jane Winster 2/24.

Union Stars 56/5 (13): Miceala Andrews 17, Caroline Taylor 4/25).

Union Stars Women won by five wickets.
