OUDTSHOORN NEWS - The SWD women’s cricket team missed an ideal opportunity the past weekend to be pool leaders in Pool A when they lost both their matches. They lost the limited overs as well as the Twenty20 match against Eastern Province on St George's Park. A poor display with the bat was the main contributing factor towards their disappointing performance.
In the limited overs match the home team was restricted to only 126. Unfortunately, the SWD ladies lost all their wickets for a mere 72 runs. thus losing by 54 runs. defeat.
In the T20 match on Sunday EP managed a modest 70 runs for 7 wickets. SWD responded with only 60 before the last wicket fell and thus lost by 10 runs.
