KLEIN KAROO CRICKET NEWS - The SWD cricket team finished their campaign on a high when they defeated Boland by 39 runs in their last match during their Pool B encounters in the CSA T20 Cup in Kimberley the past weekend.
Mesuli Vuba took 4 wickets for the loss of only 17 runs, whilst Neil Hornbuckle scored an important 35 runs with the bat.
In doing so the men from the Southern Cape avoided the wooden spoon in the pool in what was a disappointing weekend for Jean du Plessis (Capt) and his team.
In the opening fixture, KwaZulu-Natal recorded a bonus point eight-wicket victory over SWD.
They (SWD) also lost their match against Eastern Province by 70 runs.
The f'inal of the CSA T20 cup will be hosted on Heritage Day 24 September.
