SOUTHERN CAPE CRICKET NEWS - South Western Districts Cricket has announced the appointment of Daniel Seha as the assistant coach and strength and conditioning coach for the SWD senior team.
This appointment was made after Cricket South Africa adopted a resolution to enhance senior provincial (SP) cricket and availed funding to extend the support staff of each senior provincial team to assist in achieving the objectives of the player performance plan (PPP).
The 23-year-old Seha completed a BSc Honours High Performance Sport degree at the University of Stellenbosch, additional to a BA Sport Science degree.
His experience includes consultancy work with the Namibian senior, women and U19 cricket teams, working as an intern at the Department of Sport Science at Maties within the cricket department. He was a strength and conditioning coach and sports scientist at Ajax football club in Cape Town and the Victorians hockey team's strength and conditioning coach.
"Daniel will be responsible for all strength and conditioning programmes within our cricket pipeline," said Albertus Kennedy, the SWD Cricket chief executive officer.
"He will also implement team and individual strength and conditioning protocols in line with Cricket SA benchmarks and to assist in the successful implementation of the Player Performance plan with the use of all information and technology available to attain provincial benchmarks."
