GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO SPORT NEWS - The heavy rainfalls and floods in certain parts of the country brought huge frustration for the Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers the previous weekend.
With the heavy rain and floods, only 46 overs were bowled on the second day of their Cricket South Africa Division 2 Four-Day competition at White River in Mpumalanga against the Rhino's.
The Rhino's were at 101/1 at the close of play on the second day as the umpires called off the match at 09:30 on the final day.
The Badgers were not able to bag any bonus points and this outcome will have a negative impact on their title aspirations and ambitions to be promoted to Division 1 next season.
The remaining fixtures of the Badgers are:
23-26 February:
- vs Eastern Cape IIanyathi in East London
2-5 March:
- vs Tuskers in Oudtshoorn
9-12 March:
- vs Northern Cape Heat in Oudtshoorn
