CRICKET NEWS - Five players from the Garden Route Badgers squad, Micaela Andrews, Mieke de Ridder, Jane Winster, Ashake Nyovane and Annerie Dercksen, have recently been selected for the Protea Women's A squad.
Winster, De Ridder and Andrews ply their trade for the powerhouse club in Oudtshoorn, Union Stars.
The women’s academy team will be under the guidance of Dinesha Devnarain, which includes SA u.19 women’s graduates and World Cup stars; Oluhle Siyo, Jenna Evans, Ayanda Hlubi and Refilwe Moncho.
The women's programme will run from 1 June to the end of July at CSA Centre of Excellence (COE). In addition to the three-month camp, individual intervention coaching, and monitoring visits are conducted at provincial level.
