SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - Two SWD cricketers recently received recognition for their outstanding performances during the Cricket South Africa national cricket weeks.
Following a destructive 130 runs and ending the third highest runs scorer at the USSA A Week (B-Section) with 213 runs at an average of 71, Levin Muller was selected to represent the USSA XI at the Future Cup to be held in Potchefstroom in April.
Muller is a former SWD Schools player and currently a member of the SWD Academy intake.
Following her selection for the SA Schools Fillies XI in 2017, Annerie Dercksen, from Sentraal High School in Beaufort West, was selected for the SA Schools Girls XI after the Girls u.19 cricket week that was held during December 2018 at Michael House in the KwaZulu Natal midlands.
She showed her skill during the week with both bat and ball, leading from the front as captain of the SWD girls u.19 team.
