Kenyans dominate NY Marathon

INTERNATIONAL NEWS - Stanley Biwott and Mary Keitany ran to a Kenyan sweep of the New York City Marathon titles on Sunday.

Biwott took command by the 23rd mile and pulled away from his biggest challenger fellow Kenyan Geoffery Kamworor to claim the most important win of his career.

Fourth in London earlier this year, Biwott won in an unofficial time of two hours, 10 minutes and 34 seconds.

"It was fantastic," said the 29-year-old former dairy farmer. "The pace was slow (in the first half of the race) but I knew that last 15 kilometres I pushed hard."
