MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - Gaynor Canning of Mossel Bay had one of the best birthday treats of her life when she went on the Mossel Bay Zipline today, Monday 17 February.
Today is her 92nd birthday.
Mossel Bay boasts the longest oversea zipline ride in the world. The start is at the Point in Mossel Bay, near the landmark St Blaize Lighthouse and St Blaize Cave.
The Zipline Company gave Gaynor the ride for free as a gift.
"I'm not nervous at all," Gaynor told the Mossel Bay Advertiser before her ride.
When she landed, Gaynor said: "That was awesome!"
She said she would go back to the retirement village she lives in, Santos Haven, and recommend to everyone there that they take a zipline ride.
Gaynor has bungee jumped before and she has also done a tandem skydive.
She is the oldest lady so far to ride the zipline.
