NATIONAL NEWS - President Jacob Zuma has proposed yet another option for the state capture inquiry in order to avoid being investigated.
In responding papers filed to the court on Tuesday, Zuma’s legal team argued that part of Thuli Mandonsela’s State of Capture report which compels him to appoint a commission led by a judge selected by the Chief Justice should be scrapped.
Zuma says that he will then commit to setting up an inquiry within 30 days.
The president has had reservations about the State of Capture report from the time it was released and now wants to appoint his own commission.
