Youth describes murdering ex's mother

NATIONAL NEWS - In a detailed plea explanation, a former Knysna youth stated how he and his ex-girlfriend Phoenix Theron, who also used to reside in Knysna, conspired to kill her mother, Rosemary Theron and eventually murdered her on March 2013.

Kyle Maspero pleaded guilty to the murder charge in the Western Cape High Court yesterday morning, October 7.

The victim's daughter, Phoenix, is already serving a 15-year jail sentence for her role in the murder, while Maspero is out on bail and under house arrest.

The case was postponed until November 16.
 
In the statement Maspero not only admitted that he committed a premeditated murder, but detailed his and his partner in the crime’s use of dagga and Tik, moments before the brutal act.
