Teenager's murder accused due in court

NATIONAL NEWS - Four men accused of the rape and murder of 16-year-old Franziska Blöchliger are expected to appear in court today.

While two of the accused are applying for bail, the other two have abandoned their bail bid.

The teen was attacked and killed while jogging in Tokai forest in March.

The slain 16-year-old’s father, Florian, attended proceedings for the first time at their last court appearance.

It remains to be seen whether the grieving father will attend today's hearing.

During last week's hearing, the court heard in detail how the teenager had been suffocated and strangled to death.
