Students rally for transformation at Stellenbosch

NATIONAL NEWS - The South African Students Congress (Sasco) is marching to Stellenbosch University on Friday calling for transformation at the institution.

Hundreds of people are attending the march as Cosatu and other factions, including student group Open Stellenbosch, joining in.

The group is heading to the university’s administration block where they will hand over a memorandum to management.

Sasco’s Luntu Sokutu says, “It’s against apartheid Stellenbosch, the lack of transformation at an institution that does everything in its power to make sure that people remain oppressed.”
