Rain expected to fall in Johannesburg

NATIONAL NEWS – Johannesburg can expect some relief from the high temperatures with a good chance of rain on Monday, the South Africa Weather Service said.

There is a “60% chance of thunder storms” in the afternoon, said the South African Weather Services.

Johannesburg and the rest of the Gauteng province have experienced high temperatures in the midst of a devastating drought that has gripped many parts of the country.

Last week two hospitals and a school in Johannesburg ran out of water. The city has imposed level two water restrictions.
