R1 million racing car stolen in Parkview
NATIONAL NEWS - A one-of-a-kind classic racing car worth about R1 million has been stolen from a Parkview driveway, prompting fears it may end up chopped up and sold off for scrap.

The Formula 5000 car which looks similar to a Formula One car from the early 1980’s was stolen on Tuesday.

The owners have appealed to anyone with information to inform police.

Race team manager, Anton Roux says the classic sports car was on the back of a trailer when it was stolen from the owner’s driveway.

“The car is currently painted in dark blue and orange.”
