Police spokeswoman Captain Mali Govender said members of the Grahamstown Highway Patrol stopped an Opel Corsa bakkie travelling from Mthatha towards Port Elizabeth at about 6.30pm.
“On searching the bakkie which had two male occupants aged 24 and 35, they discovered compressed dagga packed in huge bags stacked in the back of the vehicle and behind the seats. A total of 23 bags with a street value of approximately R1-million was seized,” Govender said.
