Adrian Lackay's CCMA hearing continues

NATIONAL NEWS - Former South African Revenue Service (Sars) spokesperson Adrian Lackay has started testifying at his CCMA (Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration) hearing against the revenue service for constructive dismissal.

Lackay resigned in February 2015, saying that he was “forced” to because the working conditions became untenable amid allegations by commissioner Tom Moyane that an “illegal” spy unit had been set up by senior officials.

Lackay has testified about his roles and responsibilities when he was the spokesperson at Sars, saying it was imperative to have a good relationship with the commissioner and a good understanding of what was happening internally so that he could communicate this to the media.
