Stepmother arrested for assaulting boy (3)

NATIONAL NEWS - Gauteng police say they've arrested the stepmother of a three-year-old boy in Orange Farm after she was suspected of physically abusing the child.

Police say they received a tip off from the community when they discovered the boy was badly bruised on Tuesday.

He is believed to have suffered injuries to his face and upper body after being hit with a stick.

The police’s Johannes Motsiri says the boy is now safe and has received medical attention.
