Zulu was part of the Trek4Mandela team that took part in the expedition to raise funds for charity.
The team returned home on Wednesday night.
The 38-year-old experienced flu-like symptoms and had difficulty breathing the evening before he passed away.
The Nelson Mandela Foundation has confirmed that Zulu’s body was repatriated last night and arrangements are being finalised for his memorial and funeral services.
