MOTORING NEWS - Correct headlight adjustment is a safety-critical issue.
Poorly adjusted headlights reduce your night-time visibility, but they can also blind oncoming motorists. Both situations could lead to an accident.
On cars with traditional headlight adjustment mechanisms, most service centres will be able to set the headlights correctly, but on a modern vehicle, the adjustment is often electronic.
Remember that by law, your headlights on dipped beam may not strike the road further than 45m ahead. On high beam, they may strike the road no less than 100m ahead.
Ensure your headlights remain correctly adjusted - your life depends on it!
