Button will be back in 2016

INTERNATIONAL NEWS - Jenson Button says he has never been 'scared' of retirement and is confident McLaren will make him a force in Formula One once again next season.

Recently it was reported that the 35-year-old former world champion looked set to walk away from the sport. After a disappointing season the McLaren team nevertheless celebrated Fernando Alonso's recent 250th Grand Prix win in Russia.
Button has said he is fully committed for next year and he could even take his career into its 18th season in 2017.

"There are many things I want to do after Formula One, but that time is not now.

I've always given 100% in my career. Every second of every day has been about Formula One. It's been about racing, getting the maximum out of me, the car and the team. I wasn't sure of our direction. But we will definitely make big strides this winter."

McLaren is second last in the constructors' championship after scoring only 17 points this season. Engine

supplier Honda struggled on its return to the grid, but there is the whole winter to work on the car and make upgrades.

Button and teammate toasted the Spaniard reaching 250 Grand Prix wins in Russia.
