Dalia Wilck, chairperson of Principia Primary's Steering Committee assured parents that negotiations are underway regarding the school's use of the buildings. The buildings fetched an offer of R2,4-million during the auction on 3 April but interested parties had until this week to make higher offers. "As soon as we know who the final owners of the building will be we will enter into negotiations with them to continue our lease.
"The future of the school does not, however, depend on the use of the building as we are already looking at alternative accommodation," Wilck assured parents on Tuesday.
During the AGM the school's newly elected Steering Committee was introduced to the pa-rents. Principia offers tuition from Grade R to Grade 6 and will include Grade 7 next year. Plans to accommodate children younger than Grade R are also underway.
