GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - Curious about our local geology? Then join three geologists on Wednesday 4 May who will share their knowledge of the area starting in Calitzdorp, travelling through the Huisivier Pass and on through Seweweekspoort. 

The return stretch includes the Calitzdorp Station - yes, there is interesting geology there too - and ends at the Red Stone Hills east of Calitzdorp.

Paul Rixom, Peter Ginn and Gavin O'Connel-Jones will explain the geology at designated spots along the way.

If possible interested parties should fill their seats to avoid long caravans of cars. The tour starts in Calitzdorp at 08:30 on 4 May.

Bookings are essential and must be sent to wessageorge@isat.co.za. Please supply the number of participants and a contact number.

The participation fee is R100 per person and payable on the day.
