WESTERN CAPE NEWS AND VIDEO - Western Cape Government Health has a person-centric approach in providing healthcare, including managing persons under investigation for COVID-19. 

As per protocol, upon presenting to a health facility patients are managed and taken to a dedicated space for management.

We note this cannot happen immediately and does draw the attention of other patients. Please note that we cannot divulge any information on any of the persons coming to our facilities for health services and screenings. 

We appeal to the public to refrain from speculating about the status of these patients and afford them the necessary privacy. 

We also appeal to people who are not sure if they have COVID-19 to call the Public Hotline on 0800 029 999 as they will be guided on the correct channels to follow.
