WESTERN CAPE NEWS - The South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL) would like to inform the public of lane restrictions on the N2 at the Gouritz River bridge outside Albertinia in the Southern Cape, for essential bridge maintenance.
Stop/Go closures will be in place and will affect traffic during the following times:
Start: 17 September 2019 @ 15:00
End: 17 September 2019 @ 16:00
Start: 17 September 2019 @ 22:00
End: 18 September 2019 @ 04:00
The shoulder of the road will also be subjected to closure from 04:00 on 18 September, until 27 September.
“Reduced speed limits will be enforced during the construction period and we urge motorists to observe all warning signs for their own safety, the safety of other motorists and that of the construction workers on the road.
"We will endeavour to complete the bridge maintenance as quickly as possible, and where the lane can be opened earlier, we will do so,” said Randall Cable, SANRAL Western Region Manager.
