OUDTSHOORN NUUS - Adjudant-offisier Pieter du Plessis, sektor-bevelvoerder, sektor 3 van Oudtshoorn-polisie was die afgelope maand in Australië vir 'n spesiale geleentheid.
Buiten om saam met sy tweelingseuns, Thomas en Ryan, te kuier was hy daar om Thomas se uitpassering in Perth by te woon. Hulle woon reeds vier jaar in die buiteland.
Die tweeling het gr. 10 by Langenhoven Gimnasium voltooi waarna hul in Bunbury Australië hul skoolloopbaan voltooi het.
Thomas is na skool polisie toe waar hy 'n jaar lank 'n rookie konstabel in Bunbury was. Hierna is hy vir ses maande na die polisiekollege in Perth en het op 15 Mei amptelik uitpasseer. Hy is ook nou uitgeplaas in Perth waar hy nou sy loopbaan as konstabel begin.
Ryan is 'n leerlingelektrisiën in Bunbury.
Du Plessis noem dat hy as pa en polisieman baie trots is dat Thomas in sy voetspore volg. "Dit was 'n besonderse trotse en spesiale geleentheid."
