MOSSEL BAY NEWS - On 26 March, eight brave cyclists will be embarking on a 1 600 km cycle from Lephalale, Limpopo, to Gouritsmond in an effort to raise R1m for the construction of a church building for children at the AGS El Bet-el congregation.
This epic journey has been titled ‘Kilo’s vir Kinders’.
According to the Kilo’s vir Kinders website, the building will be used for various purposes with the aim of positively impacting the children of Lephalale.
The eight cyclists include organiser Deon Grobler, his son Gideon, Kobus van Eeden, Buks Oosthuysen, Ben Nortjé, Ferdi Jacobs, Albert Vermeulen and Karel de Vries.
While the Kilo’s vir Kinders team will end their cycle in Gouritz on 10 April, they will also make stops in Beaufort West on 7 April, in Klaarstroom on 8 April and Oudtshoorn on 9 April.
