SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - Dr Hugh Glen, renowned botanical specialist scientist, presents a fascinating talk on the desirability of bluegums (eucalypts) in Knysna on Wednesday 6 September.
This is particularly relevant in the Knysna area where thousands of hectares of plants that normally provide forage for bees were destroyed by the devastating fires in June.
Glen, the author of botanical and gardening publications, recently co-authored the book Trees introduced into South Africa with Braam van Wyk.
The talk will take place at
Venue: Cearn Hall, Leisure Isle, Knysna
Time: 10:00 and 19:00
Cost: R 10pp to Cape Honeybee conservation.
