KLEIN KAROO NEWS -The serious water crisis on the Klein Karoo Rural Water Purification Scheme (KKRWPS) and in Dysselsdorp continues.
Problems are experienced with the delivery of some of the boreholes and this, coupled with the increased water consumption over the past few days due to the high temperatures results in the water demand currently being more than can be delivered.
This, together with the power outages that are being implemented from today, causes portions to be unable to be supplied with water at times.
"We urge residents of Dysselsdorp and the rural areas to use water extremely sparingly. Residents are also reminded that the strict level 5 water restrictions still apply to these areas, including De Rust, and that offenders may be fined."
