UPDATE: The Swartberg Pass is now open for travel. However, a word of caution: There's still a container in the area, and it's extremely unstable. Please stay clear of it, as any disturbance could send it over the edge of the cliff.
KLEIN KAROO NEWS - The Swartberg Pass remains closed due to an unfortunate incident that occurred last night, on 2 September.
A truck carrying oranges was involved in an accident when the back part of the vehicle veered off the road while navigating one of the sharp turns.
The driver sustained injuries and has been taken to the local hospital for medical attention.
Currently, the team from J&B in George is on-site, working diligently to recover the truck and remove the trailer.
We will keep you updated on the progress of the recovery efforts.
