Residents urged to stop irrigation of gardens

OUDTSHOORN NEWS - The urgent repair work on the main feeder pipeline from the Raubenheimer Dam started today, Monday 28 May and will last until Monday 11 June. 

"During this period bulk water will be fed from the Melville Dam and due to the decreased capacity, we may run into water shortages in Oudtshoorn,"  said a statement from the municipality. 

"We urge all residents to stop all irrigation of gardens for this period to prevent water shortages. We apologise for the inconvenience."
