WESTERN CAPE NEWS - While the rest of the country is experiencing an early summer with temperatures souring to the mid-30s, the Western Cape is still firmly caught in the grip of winter, with precious little of the accompanying winter rainfall in sight.
According to the South African Weather Service (SAWS) maximum temperatures in most cities and towns in the Western Cape will stay well under 20°C.
The low temperatures are predicted to last until at least Thursday next week with a light to moderate breeze predicted for this period.
Apart from predicting slightly lower temperatures, the SAWS prediction is confirmed by www.yr.no, a highly rated weather site run by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute and the Norwegian Broadcasting Cooperation.
