GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Glentana is a coastal resort 38km from Mossel Bay, in the easterly direction. It takes a half hour to get there from Mossel Bay.
There is a long beach to walk on, a caravan park and a restaurant.
One can also walk to a shipwreck offshore and explore caves above the beach.
A 123m-long ship with a weight of 4 500 tons went aground at Glentana beach in 1902.
The walk to the wreck is relatively easy. One has to walk to the caves at low tide, so be careful to check the tides and plan your excursion beforehand.
