OUDTSHOORN NEWS - A guard of honour was formed at the entrance to the SAPS training college, last Friday, as colleagues bid farewell to captain RK Moodley.
Nicknamed Seggie, captain Moodley will will take his pension at the end of September, having served in the South African Police for 40 years and 212 days.
Moodley started his career Mooirivier, in KwaZulu-Natal and worked as a detective at stations in KZN and Estcourt. In 2004 he was transferred to the SAPS Academy in Oudtshoorn where he served as training official, coordinator and officer who always showed his Christian values and gave back all his discipline and experience to prospective young police constables.

He will also receive his SA Police Star for 40 years faithful service.
A farewell function was held for him this past Wednesday.
