BUSINESS NEWS - Opel George has relocated to 78 York Street, with a committed and professional team to attend to all your motoring needs. Opel has become part of the Peugeot / Citroën group in George, Zhai Auto Group, which has been serving the Garden Route since 2010.

"Contrary to the perception that Opel left South Africa when General Motors exited in 2017, Opel has never left," says dealer principal Hilton Cook.

Opel is created at the Opel plant in Russelsheim, Germany, and imported by the fourth largest automotive manufacturer globally, Stellantis Group.

Opel is one of the few European imports, besides Peugeot and Citroën, that offer premium built quality and safety at affordable prices in the non-premium sector of the market.

The slogan "The Future is Everyone's" means that Opel manufactures a quality vehicle with cutting edge technology that is affordable to all. "There is no doubt that these vehicles are in a different class to their cheaper competitors and worth the extra premium," says Cook.

This year has been marked as the year for re-branding Opel in South Africa with an extensive and exciting range.

The first of these models was the new Opel Corsa and Crossland crossover. The sixth generation Corsa is an iconic and admired B-segment hatchback that will delight customers with its modern, innovative design with three models to choose from, including an automatic.

The attractive Opel Zafira was launched into the family van segment in March and offers an eight- and seven-seater luxury vehicle driven by a 2.0 diesel motor and eight-speed automatic gearbox, offering excellent economy and performance.

The most anticipated launch will take place at the end of this month with the new Opel Mokka, which will no doubt turn the mid-range SUV sector on its head with bold and striking looks underpinned by a multi-energy common modular platform that allows for flexibility, comfort and unrivalled drive dynamics.

The Opel Combo van range offers two derivatives in long- and short-wheel base, both driven by a 1.6 diesel motor for all your commercial needs.
