Meeste atlete maak tans gebruik van die vergunningstydperk om fiks te bly. Die verslapping van die reëls bepaal dat mense van 06:00 tot 09:00 soggens met maskers mag oefen of stap. 'n Aantal sportpersoonlikhede van Oudtshoorn het met Oudtshoorn Courant gesels oor hoe hulle tans fiks bly. John April, bekende atleet van Oudtshoorn, sê hy is verheug om nou weg van die huis af te kan oefen.
